The Ambiance:
Riverhorse on Main once you get inside has an inviting ambiance that’s perfect for dining in Park City. The elegant setting with a touch of mountain charm creates an upscale experience without feeling stuffy. The lighting is soft, yet enough to see your menu and get around.
The Staff:
The staff at Riverhorse on Main are exceptional. They strike the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. Attentive without being intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was very good, contributing to a seamless dining experience.
The Food:
The veal tomahawk steak was a culinary masterpiece. No joke. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and served with a presentation that matched the high quality of the dish. Each bite was amazing until the end. Riverhorse on Main clearly cares about quality in their ingredients and preparation.
Accessibility:
It’s upstairs (I don’t know if they have an elevator) and the sign outside is quite small. I walked right by it without realizing.
Overall:
Riverhorse on Main stands out as a top-tier dining establishment in Park City. From the ambiance and knowledgeable staff to the exquisite veal tomahawk steak, my experience was exceptional. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal in a beautiful setting.
In Park City, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The off the menu, tofu dish is tasty. Many of the sides are vegetarian: delicious Polenta and Brussel sprouts. We substituted one of the sides for the pesto Pasta side- were charged extra and not worth it. Meat dishes- would recommend the the 10 ounce bone & fillet over the cowboy ribeye. Do try the holiday “log cake” dessert. We were wishes by several staff members for our anniversary but no complimentary dessert. Well made cocktails. Excellent service.
Had reservations for 6:30pm on a Monday, so it wasn’t obnoxiously busy. The wait staff was phenomenal when my party of six entered until we left. As far as the food goes we shared the meat and cheese appetizer which I would give a 6/10 (good verity but not my favorite). I had the wild boar which I would rate 7/10 (it was pretty good but nothing special, didn’t care for bone-in). My wife got the scallops and when I tried a bite it melted in my mouth. Absolutely the best choice out of all of us 9.2/10
A beautifully decorated interior for the holidays! Live music playing. Our server Sarah was wonderful. She provided her personal suggestions and was knowledgeable about the menu and wine selection. She gave us just the right amount of attention. The food was excellent. Our favorite was the buffalo tartare. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and are so glad we did! We will return again when in Park City!
I’m sorry, but i wasn’t too impressed. My husband and i have another restaurant that still beats these guys. Food was good but i couldn’t eat the potatoes. I’m not sure why, but i got a taste from it i couldn’t bear. The caesar wasn’t chopped enough. Very large lettuce pieces and the parmesan was huge slivers. This is personal preference of course. The drinks were very good and i can’t speak for the desert because we didn’t order it! We enjoyed the live music that they have on the weekends in the evenings. Very calming and sets a nice mood.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. The main dining room is open, yet intimate. The staff is very well versed in the dishes and thoughtful about presentation. The food was incredible.
It had been a while since we had enjoyed a fancy dinner, so we booked Riverhorse on Main for our last night in Park City. The atmosphere was elegant without being stuffy. The waiter was knowledgeable about the food and wine, and was down to earth and made us laugh. There was live music to entertain us, but the trio was hard to hear even though we were only 2 tables away. The food was seriously amazing, starting with the pork belly amuse bouche which was a flavorful bite without being overwheming. The burrata salad included white wine soaked pears and sweet strawberries that were terrific. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and very flavorful, the kind you savor for a bit before chewing very slowly. I was disappointed in the scalloped potatoes that came out like a pie slice and were too salty. My partner had the trio of wild game and ate every morsel, though he's a gentleman so offered me a taste of each. The venison was surprisingly good, my past experiences has been very gamey flavored but this was interestingly mild. We ended with the peanut butter chocolate ice cream which was smooth and creamy. The cocktails and wine were top notch, though a little pricey ($22 for an old fashioned).
Came to this establishment on September 8th @ 5:00. We had dinner reservations. The atmosphere was amazing, and the service was outstanding. I definitely felt like first class. My wife ordered the Alaskan halibut, and I ordered the 20oz Cowboy Ribeye. We also ordered the recommended hush puppies with a delicious butter and sauce, and they actually were very good once we mixed the butter and oil together like our waitress suggested. As for the main course, we were disappointed. My wife's halibut smelled very fishy, and my wife has worked in the seafood industry for years. We both questioned the freshness of the fish. Her broccoli was hardly edible, but she chewed through with determination. As for my dish, the cheesy grits were outstanding. They reminded me of the ones I had in New Orleans. The ribeye though, was very chewy. I'm not sure what the grade was, but my assumption would be a very low USDA choice. I'm a meat department manager, and I've had very many steaks in my life, and this one was subpar. The cooking method was delicious though, and I still was able to finish it. However, I expected better. The parting dish was great with the truffle and cotton candy. That was very unique, and it was delicious. Overall, we liked the experience, but the food fell short.
